A real scan: the harness made it onto the card.
Real pets, real cards
Every pair is one scan from Merijn’s or Nancy’s account: the photo the app saved, and the card it drew from it. Not all of them are ours; some we met at a petting farm or an animal park. Tap either to see it full size.

What your pet’s card shows
The card names the species, not the breed. Every dog is a Domestic Dog, every cat a Domestic Cat. The drawing is made from your own scan, so your pet’s colours carry over, and sometimes a harness does too.
Each card has six stats tuned to the species, a signature trait, a biology fact and a rarity, with your name and the date at the bottom.
The card is digital. Share it to a chat or any app your phone offers, or print it: the image has the 63 × 88 mm proportions of a trading card.

FAQ
Can I turn my dog or cat into a Pokémon-style card?
Yes. Scan your pet with dobudex and the app names the species, then draws your own animal as a unique card with six game stats, a signature trait, a biology fact and a rarity. Your name and the date are printed at the bottom.
Does the card show my dog’s breed?
No. dobudex names the species, so every dog is a Domestic Dog and every cat a Domestic Cat. The drawing is made from your own scan, so your pet’s colours carry over, and sometimes details like a harness.
Which pets can I scan?
Any animal the app can identify. The smallest pet on this page is a degu, and it got its own card too.
Can I use a photo from my camera roll?
No. You scan your pet with the camera in the app, so the card is always of an animal you met.
Can I print my pet’s card?
The card is digital: you keep it in your Dex and can share it to a chat or any app your phone offers. The image has the 63 × 88 mm proportions of a trading card, so it prints sharp when you set the print size to 63 × 88 mm.
Is dobudex free?
It is free to try. New players get five scans, then five more after Apple or Google sign-in. Explorer includes up to 100 scans a month; all game features are also available free.
Is dobudex affiliated with Pokémon or Nintendo?
No. “Pokémon-style” describes what the cards feel like, nothing more. dobudex is not affiliated with or endorsed by Nintendo, Creatures, or GAME FREAK.
